J'ai eu la joie d’apprendre, il y a peu ma participation au Global Nomadic Art Project 2019 « Sacbe White road Riviera Maya » qui se déroulera du 11 au 26 janvier prochain au Mexique.
J’y représenterai la France parmi une sélection d’artistes internationaux venant de Corée du sud, de Hongrie, du Ghana, de Roumanie, de Pologne, du Japon, de Chine et bien sûr du Mexique.
Le concept de Global Nomadic Art Project consiste à proposer à des artistes internationaux et locaux de se retrouver pendant une à trois semaines sur des sites remarquables à travers la planète et d’y créer des œuvres in situ et éphémères autour du thème de l’Art dans la nature. Ces artistes - dont l’œuvre s’inscrit dans une démarche singulière en milieu naturel - sont conviés à découvrir cet autre territoire, à poursuivre leurs recherches liées à l’environnement, à échanger et partager entre artistes, à rencontrer les habitants et enfin à réaliser des œuvres in situ éphémères. Sur place, repas, logement, transports et matériaux seront pris en charge par la structure d’accueil mais chaque artiste se doit de trouver un financement ou un sponsor pour les frais de vol, cette fois-ci jusque Playa del Carmen au Yucatan.
Je n’ai pu obtenir aucun subside dans un délai aussi court et ayant épuisé mes ultimes ressources en finançant moi-même, en 2018, les frais de vol pour ma participation à la Biennale de Dak’art au Sénégal ainsi qu’à la Fondation Sacatar à Bahia au Brésil, j'ai décidé de mettre en place une cagnotte dans l'espoir de réunir la somme de 1500 €.
C'est pourquoi je m’adresse à chacun d’entre vous aujourd'hui, vous invitant à soutenir ce projet au Mexique. En participant à son financement, vous me permettrez de couvrir les frais de voyage et autres dépenses pour ma participation au Global Nomadic Art Project 2019.
Aujourd'hui, j'ai eu 49 ans, les dates d'anniversaire sont là pour nous rappeler le chemin parcouru. Voilà presque trente ans que je sillonne le globe pour y marquer mon empreinte en creusant le sol, y extraire l’argile, y mouler ces visages d’ailleurs, semer ici et là des plaques de gravures, apprendre les bases de plusieurs langues, découvrir les us et coutumes de ces frontières traversées, croquer le portrait de ceux que je croise. Les symposiums, biennales et rencontres internationales m'ont permis également de croiser d'autres artistes explorateurs dont les échanges ont nourri ma pratique artistique. Mes carnets de voyage avec récits, croquis, photos et dessins sont témoins de ces nombreuses pérégrinations, ces voyages font partie intégrante de l'œuvre qui s'est révélée tout au long de ces années.

À propos de «Nature Art» et GNAP : « Nature Art » est une pratique artistique éphémère non destructive qui utilise des matériaux et des structures naturels trouvés sur un site choisi pour construire ou réaliser une œuvre d'art temporaire. Friends, family, acquaintances and strangers,
I had the joy of learning a few weeks ago my participation in the Global Nomadic Art Project 2019 "Sacred White Road Riviera Maya" which will take place from January 11 to 26 in Mexico. I will represent France among a selection of international artists from South Korea, Hungary, Ghana, Romania, Poland, Japan, China and of course Mexico!
The Global Nomadic Art Project's concept is to offer international and local artists a chance to meet for one to three weeks at remarkable sites around the world and create in situ and ephemeral works around the theme of Art. in nature. These artists - whose work is part of a singular approach in the natural environment - are invited to discover this other territory, to pursue their research related to Nature, to exchange and share among artists, to meet the inhabitants and finally to to create ephemeral works in situ. On site, meals, accommodation, transport and materials will be supported by the host structure but each artist must find a funding or a sponsor for the cost of flight, this time to Playa del Carmen in Yucatan.
I was unable to obtain any subsidy in such a short period of time and exhausted my ultimate resources by financing myself, in 2018 for the flight expenses to my participation in the Dak'art Biennale in Senegal and to the Foundation Sacatar in Bahia in Brazil. So I decided to set up a pot in the hope of raising the sum of 1500 €.That is why I address each of you today, inviting you to support this project in Mexico. By participating in its funding, you will allow me to cover travel and other expenses for my participation in the Global Nomadic Art Project 2019. Today, I was 49 years old, the anniversary dates are there to remind us of how far we have come. It has been almost thirty years since I traveled the globe to left my mark by digging the ground, extract the clay, mold these faces from elsewhere, sowing here and there plates of engravings, learn the basics of several languages, discover the habits and customs of these crossed frontiers, sketch portraits of those I meet. Biennial symposium and international meetings have also allowed me to meet other artists explorers whose exchanges have nourished my artistic practice. My travel diaries with stories, sketches and drawings are witnesses of these many wanderings, these trips which are an integral part of the work that has been revealed throughout these years.

Nature Art" is an ephemeral, non-destructive artistic practice that uses natural materials and structures found on a chosen site to build or create a temporary work of art. His practice involves meditative processes in preference to formal considerations, and artists often repeat the same forms in different places.
Global Nomadic Art Projects bring together Nature Artists from around the world in order to work and live together. They were founded on the idea that ‘nature has no borders’.
The Global Nomadic Art Projects are initiated and supported by the Korean organisation YATOO (meaning to ‘throw in the field’) a group of artists working in and around Gongju.
